Procedure
Getting All-On-4 implant dentures is a simple procedure. First, you will meet with Dr. Ravon for a consultation. During your consultation, you will discuss extracting any remaining teeth and find out if you have sufficient bone to accommodate the implants. He will take x-rays and a CT scan to get an inside look of your jaw bone. These images will help him plan your entire implant placement. Please note that some patients may require six dental implants to achieve their desired results.
If you need a bone graft or extractions, you will have those procedures first. If not, your next appointment will be for dental implant placement. If you tend to suffer from dental anxiety, we will recommend sedation dentistry to help you stay relaxed. Next, Dr. Ravon will use a local anesthetic to numb your mouth to prevent any discomfort from occurring. He will then surgically insert the four dental implants in your mouth. He will then take impressions of your mouth and attach a temporary pair of dentures to the implants. You will wear the temporary dentures while your jaw heals by fusing the implants to the jawbone.
